I joined ODNO to grow professionally and participate in the Community Consulting Project (CCP). CCP has given me the opportunity to apply my existing skills to organizations working to improve Oregon communities and learn from the experienced OD consultants on my team. The events, community, and variety of organizations and organizational challenges CCP addresses keeps me engaged and excited for the future!

As someone new to the Organizational Development field, I find the MindShare gatherings to be incredibly valuable. It is in these convenings that I have felt welcomed into the OD space, found support in problem-solving real-time issues, and learned from incredible experts. This is a generous, non-competitive community that I recommend to anyone thinking about or working in OD in some way.

How The Transformational OD SIG Supports My OD Work...
The Transformational OD SIG has been a welcoming space for me to explore, contribute, and learn from other OD professionals on the topic of Transformational OD. Each session has been different with the conversation emerging from the consultants in attendance. The value for me in my learning has been the insights, experiences, cases, and dialogue contributed by the participants in each session on the topic of Transformational OD.

If you’re reading this, you may be trying to make a decision – “Where and with whom should I spend my valuable and limited professional development time?” When I had to answer that question for myself, “ODN Oregon” was the answer for a compelling reason – experiential depth and diversity. And the wisdom that comes with that doesn’t stay guarded by the members that possess it. It’s generously unembedded and shared on a regular basis. Can’t get that from a website.

Why I joined the Oregon OD Network and why I stay
All my life I have been fascinated with systems and the dynamics that help them work and the challenges that get in their way. OD has given me me the opportunity to build a 40+ year career working with people in systems to create better workplaces and to accomplish organizational goals more effectively.
The Oregon OD Network provides me a group of colleagues and friends who share my values and interests, and with whom I can contribute to the development of other practitioners and enrich the field while serving the communities in which we live and work.
